Spring Break! And other odds n ends :)

This started out as a spring break update but it will probably be more of a first half of april.

Chloe had a pirate day to learn the sound "AR" and loved dressing up during school
Canning Beans! I finally used my new pressure canner that I got for Christmas. I did 24 jars of beans in one go! It was awesome.
Blain has been trading his pokemon cards like crazy lately. He even wanted to ride the bus home one day when I was there to pick him up so he could trade cards.
My Daffodils! My favorite time of year is when my daffodils are in full bloom! They stayed alive for almost a whole month which is unheard of becasuee we always get a freeze that kills them off after a week or so.
The Cox family came for their spring break a week before my kiddos had spring break and we had lots of fun together. We went to the park near Em's house to try out the new equipment.
 Avenlea, Timmy, Zetya train!
And some Pokemon hunting too! It was a water pokemon festival or something so there were tons of fish and other water type around!
Chloe and Gabe on the swing
Avenlea and Marie on the slide!
Zeyta loves
Those two romantics!
The next day we went to the Bean Museum with Grandpa and Grandma Moyeda. Benji is so funny with his poses, lol.
Don't touch the giant spider!
Blain in the sea exhibit
Attack of the Lions! It was a lot of fun hanging out with lots of cousins and family
And eating at the creamery afterwards. Grandpa earning some bonus points feeding Zeyta some graham Canyon icecream
wonderful photography skills of Wendy put to good use :)
We got to keep Timmy all week which was a blast! He is so helpful and fun and Blain has never been happier wrestling (I'm done getting hurt for today), playing, and exploring with Timmy everyday after he got home from school. We did a preparedness FHE and made some cool fire starters out of dryer lint, melted wax and cut up egg cartons.
Muffins with mom
It was fun to have Timmy along for Muffins with mom. All 3 kiddos chose a chocolate muffin and we read a chapter of Charlotte's web which we have almost finished
We also went to the bounce house for some playing and bouncing and lots of fun!
Chloe trying to beat the bunjee
Avenlea made it to the top of 2 rock walls with no help! I love how determined she is and that she gets right back on the wall after she falls. I called ort local rock climbing place and you have to be 6 for lessons and 45 pounds for free climb. She still has a while before we can put her in it or take her anywhere other than kiddie places. She has such a talent for it and really enjoys climbing so I thought it would be a good activity for her, apparently when she gets a little bigger :)
popping the balloons
Zeyta and Gabe chilling at the snack table
Ready for the group slide!
Em was at a conference so Wendy had Em's kiddos for the Day Grandpa Tony held little Sadie while she napped almost the whole time we were there and looked like he loved every minute.
We learned that April is too early for hiking in Salt Lake. We were trying to do the Donut Falls hike and ended up walking in hard packed snow the whole way, and didn't even make it to the falls becasue it was getting dark and wanted to be back at the car before night. It was still a fun little adventure but we'll have to wait until later in the season or go south to do more hiking :)
Where's Blain?!? We have since gotten a selfie stick at a store closing sale for cheap so our next family selfie will be with all of us in it :)
Blain with the Daffodils after more varieties had opened up. He would run out and check on the every day.
 Iron man saving the day!
Chloe and Avenlea had a sleepover for 2 nights at Em's house so Blain got some special treatment at home. He chose a pokemon hunt in the park, doing science experiments, and playing war and Uno with Mommy.
Wow look at that underwater volcano!
And pretty cool to touch too
We found this secret nest the day before we lost 7 of our chickens and KINGSLEY to what we think was a dog attack. We came home from Cabella's and picking up pallets to find kingsley in the yard with lots of feathers everywhere. The other chickens were never found. Good thing we should be getting chicks as we speak! Our mamma hen has been sitting on her eggs for 22 days now so they should hatch anytime now! We are down to 6 eggs when we started with 12. Not sure what happened to the rest but when she was up eating I saw there were only 6 eggs under her. Hope they all hatch!
Chloe feeding the fish at cabellas. We tried on a kids sized backpacking backpack for Chloe since my goal is to take her on a backpacking trip this summer. I've been doing tons of research and I can't believe all the options there are within an hour of our house. I'll be borrowing quite a bit of equipment but it should be fun to see how she likes it so we can gauge if it's something we will be investing more time and money into in the future.
The raspberries are waking up and looks like most of them made it through their first winter!!
Strawberries all weeded and mulched ready for a new season and hopefully some YUMMY strawberries
The heritage raspberries and Blackberries are also coming along niecely. I've been weeding and mulching everyday to get rid of all the grass that has invaded the berries
But I have not been doing it alone. This sweet little tiny girl has been with me almost every minute that i've been working on the garden. She helps me scoop the mulch from the trailer into the wheelbarrow, spread the mulch, pull the grass, fertilize the berries, and water them all which is a really long chore. She is so helpful and I love hearing all the topics of conversation she comes up with (mommy who's stronger, me or superman?!? after showing me her big muscles from scooping the wood chips)

The two lone blossoms on our apricot tree!! Only two but I'll take it for the first year that it's blossomed! We also have some blossoms on the cherry tree and are just about to see how many peach, apple and pear blossoms we will get! The little plums are in full bloom as of 2 days ago and there are tons!!
We went to Em's house for some fun egg decorating :) We made tye dye eggs, made natural dye and glitter eggs!
 Zeyta coloring her egg
Chloe wearing her protective gear for egg coloring ;)
sweet avenlea making a beautiful egg
Blain coloring eggs with kool aid!
 First time in French Braids!
Potted up the plants this past week and they are doing great! I hope we get lots of tomatoes!!
Blain doing some cool balance beam tricks

And that's all for now until the Big EASTER MORNING!
