February Family updates

Blain: Blain is such an awesome boy! He has been my super helper while my foots been broken and is getting more into drawing. He likes drawing pokemon battles, animals battling, robots fighting and of course the good guy always wins! He is doing well in school with his writing and sight words and has made a couple of friends from his class and his bus.

Blain and Daddy with the fish Blain caught ice fishing
Blain's favorite shows to watch are superman cartoon series and wild kratts. He remembers so many details about the animals and loves to tell you about them! Blain does really well in primary learning the songs and participating in class. He often comes home with pictures drawn of the Holy Ghost beating Satan in a battle, lol. Blain is always on the go! He loves to be moving around, jumping off couches, sword fighting, doing hand stand rolls, and pretend battles against imaginary bad guys.

Blain really likes playing Pokemon figure battles with me where his Pokemon is miraculously able to defeat every single one of mine. His favorites are Blastois, poliwhirl, and pikachu for battling. He also likes Pokemon Go and likes looking through all the pokemon and especially catching them when we are out and about. Blain still loves sleeping with his blue blanket and likes to have it wrapped around him for eating his breakfast (eggs and toast on school days, NOT CHEERIOS!!) He continues to ask for snacks in 10 minute intervals all day from the minute he gets home, despite just eating lunch or having a snack.
Blain loves all his treasure boxes and has found a new favorite movie to talk about, Treasure Planet. He loves talking about if he had all the treasure from treasure planet and what he would do with it (suprisingly never using it to buy anything!) He likes all his coins and really likes looking at mommy's coin collection too!
Blain's first fish! Rainbow trout
Nate with the fish all cooked up for dinner!

Avenlea: Avenlea is my super sweet and silly cutie pie. Lately she loves playing that she's a baby and I'm the mommy who has to hold her and tuck her in her bed, that she's a princess (with the cutest high pitch princess voice you can imagine) and of course with all her ponies, baby mermaid, play dough, and legos. She impresses me with how polite she is thanking me for dinner or for letting her "help" me scrapbook unprompted. She helps out with getting things for Zeyta all over the house and is resourceful finding her own flashlights to look under beds for her ponies or taking one downstairs to look for a toy when the light is off.
Avenlea all ready for the snow in Zeyta's hat!
Avenlea loves watching home videos, especially ones where she's born :) If she's not in a particular video she likes to say "i'm not born yet" even if Zeyta is in the video. I have been letting her and Zeyta watch home videos during breakfast and sometimes lunch. She also likes putting on the "ABC's" DVD from Sam and doing kids in motion from Wendy now that she knows how to work the DVD player and turn on the TV.
Avenlea likes to draw and is finally getting the hang of it! She draws the cutest people and usually draws their foreheads in too! She reminds us daily that her favorite colors are pink (did you know pink is a shade of red?) and purple. She gets so excited when Blain points out pink and purple things to her. Avenlea is learning to share with Zeyta and plays really well with Blain, when he's not too crazy "Blain's bothering me!".
Avenlea is still having a hard time going to primary but she does get a little better every week. She remembers every person that we're praying for in all her prayers (which usually last a really long time!) Her favorite shows to watch are My Little Ponies and Dora and she usually chooses How to Train your Dragon, Bolt, or princess movies when it's her turn for Movie Night. Some of her favorite foods to eat are cheetos, cereal, cream of wheat and pancakes. She is just starting to learn her numbers and letters but gets so excited when she gets it right! Love you sweet Avenlea!
Riding Raja with Zeyta

Chloe: It's so fun watching Chloe turn into such a big kid! I can't believe how mature she is sometimes and to watch her doing all the things we've taught her is suprising because you think it will never happen or that she just isn't listening. But then you hear her scolding Blain for making a mess and not cleaning it up or watch as she puts her boots, coat and backpack away without being asked after school or doing all the bedtime steps on her own at 7 just like she's supposed to! Chloe also has been awesome at doing things the first time Nate or I ask like getting a diaper for Zeyta, getting ready for dance, or doing her chores.
Chloe loves creating things in her spare time and will scrounge around the house looking for things she can use to make doll houses, boats, books, instruments, purses, cards, and anything else that crosses her creative mind! She is loving all the art supplies she received for Christmas and is so sweet making gifts for her teachers, siblings and mommy and daddy. Chloe is getting good at writing stories but the fun part for her is coming up with the idea and starting the book, so we have lots of half finished story books in the art room and in various places around the house ;) Chloe also likes playing with her stuffed animal bunnies (Fusia being the current favorite) with Blain and making up all kinds of adventures for their toys to go on!
Chloe's favorite shows include Creative Galaxy, Chloe's Closet, and Word Girl. She still loves the movie Matilda, her favorite color is green, and loves to eat Ramen, salad, veggie sandwiches and sushi! She enjoys her hip hop class and is getting excited for her spring performance at Lagoon. Chloe usually plays in the snow at recess or when she gets home. Chloe is wary of strangers and doesn't like walking home from the bus stop alone, usually running the whole way when mommy or daddy can't meet her. Chloe is beyond helpful around the house, even making herself little chore lists just like mommy and she completes them! She played "clean the house" with Blain last saturday doing all the chores she could think of and told me to take a break from chores because she and Blain had a suprise for me! I wasn't allowed to look at the house all day until they were done, what a cutie helper.

Chloe likes doing her own hair, trading pokemon cards with her friends at school, and reading silly books. She likes helping mommy scrapbook her pictures and is already planning her birthday party coming up in March. Chloe loves being silly and her "one thing" at night is always something different such as "What if zeyta took away the school?" or "What if all the things in the house were in antarctica?" I love watching Chloe learn so many new things and enjoy life so much!
mad faces for the picture!

Zeyta: My little Zeyta Beta is getting to be such a cute little toddler! She can be so independent walking around the house finding new things to play with, climbing up on her chair to get on the table, and taking her clothes off whenever she feels like it. Zeyta is really learning to talk now with lots of new words daily! Some of her recent words include banana, bowl, milk, eww, wowe (Chloe), Ban (Blain), Aya (for avenlea), fork, spoon, go, apple and lots more!
Zeyta is down to one nap a day and does really well in her toddler bed. She is currently teething 3 teeth so her night time sleep is hit or miss whether she sleeps all night. She still loves her binky "beebee", blankie, and drinks lots of milk from her sippy. She likes to eat CHEESE, eggs, oranges, pretzels, potatoes and usually eats her meat really well at dinner, especially meatballs and chicken. Zeyta LOVES watching home vidoes. She will climb up into her booster at the table and point to the computer and say "daddy!!" so i'll turn them on for her or ask for daddy on my phone which is slideshows of the family.
Zeyta is still in her trouble maker phase pulling out all the wipes, dumping out bags of cereal, and carrying around millions of toys, shoes, kitchen gadgets and leaving them in obscure places. We love her cuddling when she's tired and how she gives herself little ear tickles with her blankie. Her favorite toys are the baby dolls that she plays with in the baby stroller, high chair and wrapped in blankets.  It's so fun having Zeyta toddle around our house and make us smile with her fun personality developing :)
The distressed "sticky!" face on her little island while the floor was being redone. So sad but funny and cute.
 cuddles on her blanket
Riding the scooter with Mommy - one more day until I see my doctor and get cleared to walk (fingers crossed)

Farmy Update: Things have been going pretty well with the farm until yesterday. We thought all was well with drying up Bella but Nate noticed a slight redness on her left back udder and when he milked her the milk was a little clumpy so we think she may have the starts of mastitis. The Vet said to milk her out a bunch until the infection goes away so thats what we'll do, which seems counter intuitive since we're trying to dry her off. There are so many differing suggestions out there it's really hard to know what to do. I hope she gets rid of it fast since she should be calving in the next month or so!
