Happy Fall Ya'll

September: This past month was such a blur! With school going full swing, Nate back on his feet and working on projects, my own work schedule, and trying to get the house and farm ready for colder weather it's been pretty busy. I feel like my kiddos have grown leaps and bounds. Here is a little about our family the beginning of this fall season.
Zeyta is walking full time now and is happy and fun. She loves playing outside and playing with her siblings. Zeyta loves her blanket from last Christmas and likes to carry it around even though it's so much bigger than her!
My sweet family after church
Zeyta also loves bath time. We do baths in shifts these days and when she's all done and dressed in her jammies she stakes out a claim right next to the bathtub trying to get back in on the bathtime fun.
Helping Daddy sort his screw, nails, bolts and washers - This little one is TROUBLE lately too! She colors on books or the floor and gets into everything you can imagine! We have to keep the bathroom door shut (which is hard with 3 little ones using it now!) or we end up with a roll of toilet paper all over the floor. The tupperware drawer (also doubling as a stool for avenlea to reach the cut up fruit on the cutting board) is always open with lids strewn about the floor. I can follow the trail of mischief and usually find her at the end of it!
Zeyta with her siblings by a double rainbow in our yard just the other day!
Avenlea is as feisty as ever but also has a super sweet side. She is really into duplos, her princesses, riding the tricycles in the driveway, dressing up as princesses, singing songs, and doing chores with mommy while Zeyta naps and Chloe and Blain are at school.
Avenlea usually gets first dips on the fruits and veggies coming in from the farm and loves it!

Avenlea has been my good helper feeding and watering the pigs, brushing Bella while I milk, and scattering scratch to the chickens. She no longer has to stand in "the hole" (a patch of low grass) while I move wheel lines because Nate is well enough to move them now!!!
Eating our biggest Strawberry! This little sneaker finds and eats the berries that I save for Chloe and Daddy who get home much later than the picking. It's hard to reprimand her for eating fresh garden berries when I want to do the same thing ;)
Avenlea has been wearing a swim suit everyday, even though the weather isn't super warm anymore. She will come up to me with a swim suit behind her back and say, "Mommy, I have a suprise for you!" She will then show me the swim suit and go put it on. They have to wear shoes and a helmet to scooter so this is how avenlea got ready to scooter, what a silly girl!

I've been wanting to get a picture of Avenlea playing princesses because it is such a big part of her day and she loves them! She carries her princess bag with her in the car and sleeps with it in her bed.
Enjoying a home made bagel fresh from the oven!

I bought some bulk bread flour a couple weeks so I could start making bagels since Chloe and Blain both really like them and they can be pretty expensive in the stores. I was surprised how well my first batch turned out! I made a double batch (about 16 bagels) and froze a couple so I wouldn't have to make them weekly. It's nice being able to control the size, making small ones for the kiddos and big ones for me to take to work or Nate to have for breakfast. Someday I'll have blueberries to dehydrate and mix into the dough!
Blain is as talkative, curious and fun as he always has been and keeps us smiling and our brains spinning all day! He has been asking Daddy to do science with him so Nate let him mix baking soda and vinegar for a little science experiment. What a cute boy in his lab coat!
Blain with his treasure box! The first year we moved into this house I found a ring in the garden which I now keep on the windowsill above the kitchen sink. In the picture he is looking through his treasure to see what he could trade me for that ring! He is such a smooth talker and so persistent. Love this little treasure hunter.
Daddy's good helper. Nate has been digging post holes and teaching Blain to dig too!
Ripe apples! It's nice being able to send them out to get an apple when they ask for one! They are getting sweeter by the day and there are actually quite a few considering it's an off year!
Blain filling up the watering trough for one of his daily chores. With us getting closer to having the pasture divided we've been talking about water options for the different sections. We would love self filling waterers that are also winter proof!
Blain battling his robot toys. He also loves battling his army guys, magneto, superman and even the princesses when Avenlea is distracted ;) He still asks "mommy which one do you think will win/is faster/tougher/stronger? We have also been checking out every super hero book our little library owns. He loves reading about justice league, avengers, x men, fantastic four, etc. 100% boy :)
Chloe has to read for 20 minutes daily and that is certainly not a problem, especially because this is how I find her most nights when I check on them before going to bed!
With pig butchering coming up we traded a couple hours of babysitting and a sleepover with Marie and Summer for Em and Ted watching our kiddos all day while we process the pigs. It was a lot of fun getting to hang out with Marie and Summer!
Chloe conducting the musicians! She just looks so happy in this picture, I love it. Chloe has been working hard on her piano lessons with Daddy. She practices without arguing and is learning a lot.
 Play that music!
Marie, Summer and Avenlea playing Duplos while Blain and Chloe were at school
Carrots for movie night! Chloe loves the movie Matilda and chooses it a lot for movie night. She also still loves coloring, drawing and art in general. She is currently working on a short story about herself to enter into a contest at school.
 Farm Farmily
Best and Biggest rainbow I've ever seen!

Pigs Day 1: Jonny came over to slaughter the pigs on the 30th. They both worked from 3 to 10 getting them ready to break down the next day. I made dinner then took the kids to Em and Ted's to sleep over so I could leave early the next morning to help.
Those kids are so funny playing around the tractor like there weren't two dead pigs hanging in the air!
Avenlea told me "mommy, those pigs have meat in them" about 12 times while I was bringing them out a couple things they needed
 Baby helpers
And one more picture of those cute kids who were jumping up and down they were so excited to see that rainbow!
