Love these kids!
Swimming in the pool!
Zeyta can Walk! This little one has been standing (and bouncing on the little trampoline) for a while now but refuses to walk anywhere! Well we finally got her to prove that she can indeed walk by having her walk between us. Since then she has done a few steps here and there (including while holding her giant pink blanket) but she still prefers to crawl or hold onto furniture.
Celebrating Zeyta walking
She loves riding this trike with me pushing her from behind! She will walk it down the pathway toward the bridge then get off and walk it back.
She loves putting her head on soft things, especially when she's tired
First Day of School: Chloe started school about a week before Blain but here are some shots of their first days back.
Chloe loves this new dress from Grandma Janice and wanted to wear it the first day...
Until I got a closer look and saw that it was dirty from wearing it the previous day. We had a quick wardrobe change and then she was off to school with Daddy!
Blain's first Day of Kindergarten!
What a little Stud!
We all got to take Blain to school for his first day with Chloe leading the way to his classroom. They have classes right across from eachother so that will be fun for them to get to walk to class together everyday. Chloe was so funny telling him he would hear her class yelling "supalistos" in her spanish class.
Blain asking "Mommy, are you going to go yet?" He was ready to start class and have mommy go home, it was so hard to leave him sitting there looking so cute!
Blain was so excited to be riding the bus! He looks so small standing there next to his bus 88 with his little backpack. Love that Kindergarten boy!
Avenlea turns 3! We celebrated Avenlea's birthday on the 28th with family and had a really fun time. As expected she cried through her birthday song but came back to blow out her candles and cut the cake! I made the strawberry cake with pink frosting and strawberries on top (from our garden!!) per her request and we all had strawberry swirl ice cream. Good thing Pop Pop couldn't make it (not a big strawberry fan).
round 2 of singing Happy Birthday - we tried outside first but had a little meltdown. Inside was much better :)
Cutting the cake with the special birthday knife! She loved licking her 3 candles!
Present Time! Avenlea got such nice presents from everyone. She loves her books, princess accessories, new pretty "cowgirl" dress, Frozen toys, baby mermaid doll and a fun Ariel dress up dress. She had a pretty hard time sharing over the next couple days but she is doing much better now, although still wearing her new dress everyday.
Marie and Avenlea posing with some new presents
On her actual birthday we played whatever she wanted as long as she wanted. Which meant lots of swinging, playing hide and seek, and eating snacks. We also went out to McDonalds for Dinner and let her play on the play place and have yummy chocolate milk in her Happy Meal.
"Mommy look at me!! I'm up here!"
Opening up some presents after waiting so long for Daddy to get home!
Loving her Ariel dress
Avenlea also had her doctor's appointment on the 31st and this year went much better than last time. She listened to Dr. Dave and the nurse was so good with her, making her laugh and smile and getting her to answer the questions. She weighed in at 26 lbs and is 36 inches tall.
Gymnastics and Dance Classes: Blain and Chloe had their first classes this week. Blain is doing gymnastics and Chloe is doing Hip Hop dance because she "already knows ballet". Blain has already improved a lot with practice at home and he really liked walking on the beam. Chloe had a solo lesson the first week but the instructor promised there would be more kids the next week.
Learning to bridge
Some cool videos accompany this warped wall session. He's been asking me to watch him multiple times a day and is getting so good!
And we have been getting tons of Berries!! I pick a basket like in the picture every two or three days and there continue to be more flowers and tons of runners. The Blackberries are SO GOOD and I get 2-3 at a time a few times per week.
My good helper
Sharing the bounty!
Comicon with Uncle Jonny: We were lucky enough to score tickets from Jonny this comicon and the day was so much fun. I took the kiddos after school to meet up with Jonny at the Salt Palace convention center in Salt Lake. He showed us around and helped out so much with the kiddos. We saw so many cool costumes and even met some Superheroes and princesses. There were a couple pretty fun kid activities and I let each of them choose a treat on the way out. Avenlea and Chloe both got ice cream and Blain chose a golden key that he couldn't stop talking about throughout the whole convention.
Zeyta getting some help across the rope bridge
Chloe and Blain crossing the dragon lagoon. Blain was a little too scared to come in at first but somehow Jonny convinced him to join in about half way through the "Hary Potter" obstacle course. They had to save dragon eggs, go through tunnels, feed baby dragons, cross these bridges, make feathers fly with their magic wands, and choose the correct potion to make it through!
Avenlea took a bit of convincing to do any of the obstacles but she chose to do the eggs, bridge, and ring the bell after the cave.
Blain was most excited about seeing the Flash!
For Timmy and Benji
And Batman was pretty awesome too (notice the golden key...) He keeps asking me "mom, did you forget about my golden key?" He's been keeping it hanging up with his backpack or in his treasure box or with his golden rocks on the bookshelf.
On the way to the car we saw these giant statues from Lord of the Rings. Watch out babies!! It was a good day and so nice of Jonny to get us those tickets. He is on some of the expert panels that they have for the fans and gets a couple free tickets. Pays to have a cool uncle in the family :)
