Let it snow

I think winter is really coming now that we are half way through November. We've had a couple nice days and have tried to go outside when it's warm enough for Avenlea to come outside with us. Not too much going on lately, just some daily life stuff.

2 month check up: Avenlea had her doctor's appointment a week ago on Thursday and she is dong great according to the nurse practitioner. The not so great picture says she is 10 lbs 12 oz and 22 3/4 inches long. She is 33 % for weight and 50th for height, our smallest baby yet. Blain hung out around the 50- 60th percentile range and Chloe was always around the 90th percentile for weight and height. Her little eyes are still not improving much so she was prescribed some eye drops to help clear up any infection that may be in there mixed with all the undraining tears. 4x a day for 5 days. She doesn't like the drops much but puts up with me reasonably well. We have now added a prayer for her eyes to get better with every prayer Chloe and Blain say, and since they say prayers for every meal, snack, glass of water, etc. we hope it will help :)

Sweet little smile

Sad but cute - most mornings she wakes up with one eye "glued" shut.
Chloe loves taking pictures with Avenlea and asks to hold her all the time. I wish Avenlea was a little more willing to let Chloe hold her, she usually starts fussing right away. Chloe says, "she doesn't like her Chloe" when it happens, so I just reassure her that Avenlea is just a baby and her crying doesn't mean she doesn't like being held by her Chloe. What sweet sisters.

Bouquets for Mommy: Before this cold weather spell we had lots of fun playing in the fall leaves. Chloe and Blain bring me leaf bouquets and I get to hold them the whole time we are out in the yard. What a lucky mommy I am.
Working on their creations

Me and one of my gifts

Hair cut #3: Blain got his 3rd haircut yesterday courtesy of his daddy. It was much needed and he did pretty good overall, one bad movement over one of his ears left a weird line but other than that nothing too drastic.
The only outlet in our bathroom is nonfunctional so he got his haircut in the kitchen.
Afterwards, the finished product. He was so cute wrapping Cracky in his blanket. Cracky is staying with us for 6 weeks while Em, Theron, and Marie are out of town in San Diego.

My new favorite picture of Chloe and Nate - I also think Chloe has got to be going through some sort of growth spurt by the way she has been eating lately: 2 bowls of chili with two slices of bread, 3 plates of spaghetti, a whole can of soup by herself, 1 1/2 pb&j's for lunch... she's usually a good eater but this is impressive even for her. We've also started a reward system for good behavior since that good behavior had become less and less frequent. She has a half pint jar with a treat inside and for every time she does "good listening" she gets some dried beans to put in the jar. We'll see if it improves her good behavior in the long run. So far so good, she's really excited to do things the first time I ask so she can get "good beans" as she calls them.

Start of the Storm: yesterday it snowed lightly all morning and later hailed. Now today it has been snowing since I got up around 7 and hasn't let up once. It's beautiful but COLD!
