Camping at Payson Lake

Over Memorial Day weekend we went camping near Payson Lakes. Theron's friend had gone up a few days earlier so we shared their spot which was AWESOME. There was a big meadow in the middle and plenty of shade and sun at the campsite. Best of all it was FREE since it wasn't technically a camp spot, but there was a makeshift firepit and about a 15 minute walk to a bathroom. We found a little trail across the meadow that lead down to a stream and a grove of cut down trees which the family had fun climbing on.

Chloe and Marie had tons of fun swinging in the hammock together. Chloe was such a good big cousin and held Marie so she wouldn't roll around too much.
Chloe picking dandelion bouquets in the meadow. This was her favorite thing to do other than eating all the yummy treats that were "just for camping".

HIKING THE GROTTO: The trailhead to the Grotto was just down the road from our campsite so we decided to hike it again, 3rd year in a row! Chloe and Blain both hiked on their own this time.

GARDEN UPDATE: Salad I made from the lettuce in our garden which is ripe and ready for picking! I've been picking about 2 heads a week for 2 weeks now and enjoying it on sandwhiches and salads. Today I thinned the carrots and the babies loved eating the tiny carrots that I pulled. This made thinning a lot easier.

PLAYTIME: Love all the warm weather and time I have to play with my little ones, watch them grow and make fun memories.

Playing in the pool: note how Blain prefers to keep his helmet and shoes on while playing in the water. What a cutie
Thank you Em for letting us stay and having fun with us everyday!
