Arches

Arches National Park for Fall Break: We did a little 2 night camping trip down to Moab to visit Arches national park. The nights were cold but the daytime was beautiful with perfect weather. We hiked delicate arch, landscape arch, windows and turret arch, and sand dune arch. The kids did awesome and report having a ton of fun. This was our first National park as a family since Chloe was a baby! Hopefully we can visit the rest of Utah's 5 national parks soon as well as some others!

Blain wore his new camel pack that he got from Aunt Melissa for his birthday on every hike!
Pine Tree Arch along the way to Landscape arch

Chloe recently got her full splits and was so excited to do her trick under the arches! Chloe told me she was going to be a really good helper this trip and she stayed true to her word! She often gave up a coloring page or marker to keep the peace with her siblings and when Blain didn't bring a jacket OR sweatshirt (the two things he was responsible for...) she let him wear her sweatshirt and she wore her jacket. We are so lucky to have Chloe!

We had a man in line take this for us and I can't believe we actually got everyone in the air at the same time!!

Avenlea loved carrying her little REI hiking pack now that I got a new non leaking bladder. She prefers to carry it but I sometimes made her give it to Chloe to take a turn when I could tell she was getting tired to lighten her load. She did great hiking all the arches and of course fell right to sleep both nights.

Blain under Turret arch. There were so many people everywhere I can't believe we got this shot! The second before and the second after there were people either going up or going down. Blain was so adventurous and took lots of fun pictures.
Avenlea couldn't quite hold her bridge in the deep sand but Chloe and Blain looked awesome!

cold mornings filled with oatmeal, mini muffins, hot chocolate, and coloring!
Zeyta has so much attitude but she did so great on the hikes. We didn't bring the carrier on purpose since we knew the hikes were not that long and she rose to the occasion! She got some shoulder rides on the way down from delicate arch but other than that hiked to all the others. She had a little slip and fall along the way to landscape arch that scraped up her little baby nose but she was super tough and kept her good attitude!
On the big slick rock up to delicate arch!
