Christmas 2017!

If I were more on top of things this post would be about 3 different posts but here we are, in January, and I still have more than half of December to write about! So here is our holiday season in a nutshell!
Trying out the zoom lens at Blain's extra gymnastics practice. I think it did a pretty good job! Way better than my iphone anyways!
Doing the high bar for the first time!
learning back hip circles - his goal for this year is to do a back hip circle on the bar
Chloe is so sweet the way she takes care of our family. She made us all grilled tuna sandwhiches for dinner!
Just  a boy and his blue blanket!
Christmas performance! Chloe and the 2nd graders had a Christmas songs show. She had a spanish part and blew Nate and I away at how well she speaks! The video that goes along with this is proof :)
 Mi Burrito Sabanero...
Coyboy Christmas was the theme and she looked so cute in her bandana and boots
 Silly baby hiding
 Some fun jumps!

Reflections: Chloe's farm video was selected to go on to the district level and then advanced to the State competition! This is her at the district awards night. Good job Chloe!!

Chloe, Mommy and Daddy with her awards

Christmas Eve: We went to Em's ward as a family on Christmas Eve. The music was beautiful and I got to hold baby Reuben for a while, what a good baby :)
 Family picture by the tree!
Sisters! because you know this is the last time we will ever all be together again ;)
lining up to do pushups for tic tacs at Grandpa's house
 Pretty good form Blain
 Decorating Christmas cookies
 Matching jammies on Christmas Eve!
We love Grandma and Grandpa Moyeda
Avenlea got a redo since she was being fussy for the first picture

Christmas: Christmas Eve night was a little bit of a disaster with 4 kids throwing up and the 5 little kids (Zeyta, Matilda, Sadie, Reuben, Gabe) waking up every hour or so. Needless to say nobody got very much sleep. Dad had some nice double camping pads that we all lined up in a row in his living room to sleep the adults so the accomodations were nice but the age and untimely illness in the kids were tough. But Santa came at some point when everyone was sleeping and Christmas morning was magical with the Christmas Story read by Grandpa and everyone jumping with excitement for all the fun presents under the tree.
 Nate opening his stocking!
Zeyta super happy with her suckers from Santa
Blain got a red nintendo 3DS and pokemon game!
Avenlea got her shimmer and shine set!
Chloe with her purple 3DS and pokemon game

Zoo Day: We went to the zoo for their free day again this year and it was SO crowded! I think the nice weather had a lot to do with it. We saw lots of animals and with the remodel I feel like they were more visible and easier to find!
I had Wendy for my secret santa and got her this folding wagon which worked really well for toting around kids at the zoo!
We met up with Molly and Phillip and got the traditional "getting eaten by a lion" picture!
Chloe and Zeyta looking at the monkeys
It was really fun having Grandma Janice in town for almost a whole week! She was such a big help at the zoo helping up keep all those kiddos wrangled.
 Hanging out with the cousins!
 Grizzly bears!
I had this same picture of Avenlea 2 years ago! She wasn't as enthralled with the porcupine this time but it was still super cool to watch walk around :)
Haha, apparently Benji was the only cousin who would hang out with us...
Grandma Janice was so nice to get each kid a carosel ticket!
Cute Blain on his merry go round ride
Avenlea was so diligent over Christmas break and got these cute headphones from her secret santa! She made her 5 days a week for 20 mniutes for the entire month of December which enters her into a drawing for a gift card! Hope you win cutie pie! It was so awesome to hear her sounding out "hop" and "up"during her letter game today. She is learning so much and I'm super happy with the program. I hope she can continue using it next year and I know I'll be signing up Zeyta in a year or two!
