Time Flies

Now that November is more than half way over... here is a little bit from the past couple weeks

Hunting Success: Nate got a deer on the very last saturday of the deer hunt. He got a pretty good one and plans on making all the meat into jerkey once fall chores slow down and he can focus on the smoker again.
kinda gross but he's proud of it!

Dia de los Muertos performance: It was so fun watching both Chloe and Blain do their fall performance. They each sang a song with their class and then did a combined song at the end. Love these cuties! They both new their songs really well and I could see they new the moves that went along with the songs too!

Chloe waving hi at the beginning of the assembly

Play time: We have been having so much fun playing outside and all around in this beautiful fall weather. There has been no snow and record high temperatures for this late in the year (low 70's!) It is supposed to snow tomorrow but we have been loving this warm weather.
scooters
Blain's gak went bad but they still thought it would be fun to play in... it was almost impossible to wash off and SO STICKY! but we made a new batch of yellow so they are still having plenty of gak playtime.
working on washing off the sticky mess

Sliding down the slide - Blain and Avenlea both love to take Zeyta down the slide

The bus stop has a pasture full of friendly horses so Blain and Avenlea like to pet the horses while we wait for Chloe to arrive on the bus

Trip to the DMV: I spent two days getting the pilot registered and once we were finally all done I let the kiddos play in a big grassy area across from the the DMV with a huge and awesome climbing tree. They enjoyed it alot and we did a couple pokestops in the area as well so that made it extra fun.
Blain making his way up the big tree
She made it!
Some parts were even low enough for Zeyta to play on
Spider climb!
After a couple tries she was able to climb up by herself

Gymnastics and Wrestling: Blain continues to love his gymnastics class and he is really getting the hang of his headstands, back rolls (into a handstand which impressed his teacher), backbends and walking the balance beam. It's really fun to watch him each week. He has also started wrestling in the little wasps program this past week. Nate reports that Blain has lots of natural talent and is super excited for him to be learning to wrestle. Blain really likes all the games they play in practice and he has a little tournament on saturdays for the next month. Good work Blain!
Cartwheels
Diving rolls
Back bend kick over with his teacher miss Shannon

Blain at his wrestling tournament - Both kids "win" each match but Blain did manage to pin his opponent  and say "pin" while he was doing it, lol. Blain thinks that because he is doing both gymnastics and wrestling that he will be stronger than daddy soon and likes to check how big his muscles are after practice.

Daddy Donut Day: Blain and Chloe both got to have donuts with daddy this year. They talked about it all week and were so excited to be driven to school and get a special treat with their daddy for breakfast.
All ready to go! Avenlea wishes she could come to, two more years!
Lucky Daddy!

On the Farm: Avenlea has been my good helper pouring Bella's grain while I milk and brushing her too. Usually I milk while Zeyta is napping but twice now I have taken her with us and she loves it!! She loves petting Bella and milking too! I couldn't believe that she actually got milk out of the udder! She squeezed really hard and got milk out a couple times, very impressed. It's fun having little helpers now that I don't milk in the wee hours of the morning. I usually wait until about 9 or 10 when Zeyta takes her morning nap. Her nap keeps getting pushed back and today I was still milking when Blain got home from Kindergarten. He let the chickens out for me and helped throw hay to the cows after I was finished milking. What good farm kids I have!
Brushing and petting Bella
Good milking Zeyta

Scooping the grain
All done and ready to let Bella in! Bella is so pushy about the grain I make Avenlea wait on the other side until I have her head locked in and feet tied, then she comes over and brushes her while I wash off the udder.
All my babies love helping make meals, this is Avenlea ripping the lettuce for the salad, she did the whole head of lettuce! Blain loves to flip pancakes, and Chloe loves to measure and pour in the different ingredients.

Chloe's Crafting: Chloe has been really into making bags and pillows and using all the staples and paper to make them. So I got out some scrap material and her embroidery thread and showed her how to cut out a pattern, cut the fabric and then sew it all together. She made herself a tooth pillow for her lost teeth while the toothfairy comes and a purse complete with handle!
Sewing on the strap - I had promised I would let her sew after church and she talked about it all day until we got home she was so excited

Cute Pictures: Just some pictures I like
Mommy and Zeyta
Love those lips!

I came home from running an errand with Chloe to find Nate asleep on the couch with two babies!! Lucky guy.

Hair Cut: I cut off 10 inches and plan on sending in my braids to locks of love for the 4th time. It's so weird holding your own hair!
Just after getting out of the salon
Blain was so sweet telling me he likes my hair and Chloe is a little jealous because she has to wait until Thanksgiving to get hers cut by Aunt Chelsea. I usually like Chelsea cutting my hair but I know how long it takes and opted to get it done beforehand so we don't spend all night cutting my hair

Story Time: I have been trying to take Avenlea and Zeyta to the library for story time now that Zeyta has moved her nap back a little and it's been so fun! Avenlea loves miss Sally and does all the motions and songs. Zeyta claps along when she can and stomps in place when the other kids dance.
They both love to color and glue during the craft time at the end of story time. The stickers today were especially fun!
