New Farm Addition: We found our perfect milk cow! Her name is Bella and she is the cutest cow I've ever seen :) She is four years old, reportedly gives about 4-6 gallons a day, dehorned, registered, and due to calf in March. And best of all... she is nice and likes us! We have been giving her lots of treats and she seems to really be enjoying her new home. Prince Ali follows her around all day, they sleep in the same stall at night and they bask in the sun together on nice days.
The listing picture that got me hooked
We drove about 2 hours to pick her up and the next day Prince Ali didn't get more than a foot away from her. I can't wait for all the sweet delicious milk she will be giving us in the spring!
Nate spent this last Saturday fixing the stable roof that blew off last spring. The pigs are enjoying their new and improved shelter. We had a friend come look at the pigs and he thinks they will be ready after Christmas... one month til Bacon!!
Family
Zeyta 5 months old! I can't believe how big my sweet baby is getting. She is babbling, blowing bubbles and has finally learned how to swallow her baby food. I made a big batch of acorn squash and sweet potato baby food to freeze, I ended up using these silicone herb trays with a lid that work perfectly to freeze them in. She is still sleeping really well at night and I've started putting her in the crib for naps to get her ready for her move out date after Christmas.

Kindergarten: Chloe earned a "model student" award in her class for always trying to speak the spanish words. she says her teacher will sometimes have her come up to the front and say the words. I am so excited for Chloe to be learning Spanish and that she has taken such an interest in it. She is even saying full sentences "donde esta la vaca?" which always takes me by surprise.

Chloe and Nate at Daddy donut day - Nate said going early was worth it because right as he was leaving to go to a meeting in salt lake it got SUPER crowded
Date night to go see Mockingjay part 2 at a theater in American Fork with reserved seating. Theron was so nice to let us put the kiddos to bed at his house then go to a late movie. Thanks Theron!
Avenlea with her crate of favorite toys: bus, pablo, duck and elmo. She sleeps with those toys, takes them with her in the car, and is playing with them about 90% of the day on most days. What a cutie.
We had a fun snowy day about 2 weeks ago and good thing we made a snowman when we did because the snow was all melted in about 2 days. The weather has been really nice lately but FREEZING COLD at night. The space heater for our bedroom unfortunately blows a fuse every time we use it, so we are left once again with a cold bedroom to sleep in. Nate wants to redo the electrical one of these days...
We are busy getting packed up to head out to Nevada for Thanksgiving this year. I worked my last shift until after the holiday weekend so I'm excited to have a little break and spend time with family
