Peppy and Tex: Judd and his nephew Todd brought their horses over all saddled up to give the cousins rides through the pasture. They all looked so cute riding those horses by themselves!
Chloe's turn
Blain and Timmy taking a turn together
Em asked if I would ride with Marie since she's still so little. She loved it and liked waving to her mommy waiting for her
Blain and Kiya
Avenlea's first horse ride!
Nate says she really liked it and was bouncing and kicking her feet the whole time
Show down: We all dressed up as cowboys and took turns shooting little pop guns after a 1...2...3...shoot! with the cowboy walk and everything.
Em and Damian
Blain and Timmy - the little ones weren't quite strong enough to pull the trigger themselves so they got a little help with the shooting part
Cutie Cowgirls
The ultimate showdown...very serious
Nothing better than a cowgirl in pink!
Water fight: It started out with mini water guns and ended up with a couple really soaked kids after Jodon and Kiya decided to pick a fight with Nate
Jodon after his battle
Kiya going after Nate
Retaliation
Wet Kiya who was so proud she caught a chicken!
Fun and Games: There seemed to be a good flow from one game to the next all day. Here is a glimpse of some of them:
Melissa and Dave demonstrating the relay race - girls vs boys
Chloe helping Marie shoot the gun into a barrel
Doggy Doggy who has your bone? This was so cute - all the kids would sit with their hands behind their backs and the one in the middle would get 3 guesses to find the right person who actually had the doggy bone behind their back
Blain had a little meltdown during the doggy game but Nate was right there to smooth things over as always :)
Line dancing taught by Hazee and Debbie
The kids and the Grandmas
Attendees of Cousin Camp western style - Papa Vern, Wendy, Benji, Grandma Janice, Ruby, Melissa, Dave, Debbie, Damian, Avenlea, Chloe, Katy, Timmy, Jodon, Kiya, Kenna, Blain, Elly, Marie, Nate, Hazelynn, Emily, Grammy, Theron, Tiaga, Molly, Jonny
Camping Out: We had a big potato and carrot peeling party to get ready for tinfoil dinners in the fire and topped off with s'mores and an apple crisp in the dutch oven. We set up tents and had a fun time sleeping outside. I also snuck away with Hazee and let her shoot my bow because she's been really into archery lately. It was nice to get to talk to her a bit one on one and I was so impressed with her shooting! Even if the campers didn't get a lot of sleep it was a fun way to end cousin camp!
Eggs and Peas: I've started weighin the harvest and so far we've picked 2.5 lb of peas over 3 days, not counting all the ones we eat right there in the garden. We also got our first eggs!!!! I found 2 sort of burried in the nesting box when we got back from spending the night at Molly's on the 4th and every day since then we've found a tiny egg in the new nest she made in the straw.

Yummy pound of peas
Timmy likes helping get the eggs - we found the hidden nest when I saw Sunset (our layer) and two roosters make a bee line for the straw when I let them out of the run late one day. The roosters stood guard, crowing for a while. When we came back we found the hidden nest with 3 days worth of eggs in it. She lays there every day now.
