Mamma comes to visit and Happy Easter

Em's Birthday: The Tuesday Mamma was here it was Em's birthday! We spent the day down in Orem and celebrated with Em all day. I made Tikki Masala per her request and Mamma and Chloe made her a lemon pound cake.
Babies helping put the candles on
Marie kept blowing out the candles, then when the song was over Em let all the kids help her blow out the flames!
Happy Birthday Em!

Tree House Museum: We made the long drive to Ogden to go to the tree house museum and it was really cool. There were lots of different rooms and exhibits for all the kids to enjoy.
The knights and castles room was a big hit
I forgot a stroller so Mamma and I took turns carrying Avenlea
It was hard to pull Blain away from these figurines, it probably didn't help that we watched a dragon Backyardigans episode on the way down. He was recreating the episode with these knights and dragons.
Marie and Chloe liked the doll room where you can weigh and feed the babies in the hospital nursery
 Sitting on the fire truck
Blain ran around in this fire fighter coat and hat for about 30 minutes saying "fire fighter to the rescue". The fish in the background was another of Blain's favorite things to look at
Getting in some cow milking experiene. There was actual water that came out into a white sponge so it looked  pretty realistic. What a fun day.

Mamma at our house: Mamma stayed with us Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. It was nice for Chloe, Blain and Avenlea to get some time with their grandma. Mamma helped so much around the house and the garden I feel like my life has a little more order now and I also have a spot to put my brocoli! In other garden news, the Radishes and beets have both sprouted, yay, but I also found deer prints all though my planted sections. Looks like we may need that deer fence sooner than I thought.
 Reading with Grandma before bed
When Nate was showing mamma the wheel lines he found a nest inside one that had 4 little robin eggs inside. Blain has since smashed both eggs but they looked pretty and so tiny!

Happy Easter! Lots of fun Easter Activities at Grammy's in Spring Creek Nevada. Grammy just bought a new house and the boys all helped her move into it. It was a bit of a shock showing up at an empty house at 11 pm but we made it work and by the next day it was looking like a fully furnished home!
Hard workin' man - I forgot our luggage AGAIN so we were both wearing the clothes we arrived in the whole 2 1/2 days. Next year maybe the clothes will make it into the car :)

Egg Hunts: The kids did 2 fun egg hunts and got lots of Easter baskets and goodies. They love Easter!
 Dying easter eggs
Lots of single color eggs from this bunch
Chloe was an egg finding machine but was so nice to let the little cousins put some in their baskets too
 Blain taking the inside eggs
 Examining her loot
Crescent Valley puts on an amazing egg hunt which we got to be a part of this year. The ages were divided so this was the only shot of Chloe and Blain together before the hunt began.
Blain going for the blue eggs two at a time. He was one of 4 kids in the 0-3 bracket and scored tons of eggs.
Blain and Marie looking for eggs in the little kids section. Milly showed up after all but 1 of the eggs were found, and she found the golden egg which earned her a new tricycle! Good finding Milly!
Chloe waiting for the siren to go off so she could look for eggs in the 4-7 year old bracket. We had a near catastrophe when 2 older kids picked up the eggs she was going for, but Nate quickly stepped in and helped her get some without any further melt downs
Blain loved the Easter Bunny but Chloe wouldn't go near him even for candy
Playing at the park where the egg hunt was held

Easter Sunday: The Easter Bunny always hides the Mitchell baskets so our little ones were supposed to find their baskets this year. Blain wasn't too interested in finding them but Chloe found all three in the first place she looked.
Finding the baskets behind the couch
Chloe giving Avenlea her basket
 Avenlea with her Easter caterpillar
Chloe gave Blain his basket, what a good big sister
 Blainy loved his "tractors"
 Coloring books!
All ready for Church! We almost missed the whole meeting due to misbehaving kids, but eventually they were able to show mommy and daddy that they could be reverent and we had a good Easter sacrament meeting.
