Summer has come at last

Nate's 31st birthday was back on May 1st and here are the pictures. I got him Bacci Ball and a big birthday/graduation/fathers day... gift of his choice which turned out to be a nice new laptop for gaming as well as all our other computer needs. He loves it and that makes me happy.

Legos is the new favorite pass time for these babies. Chloe is getting good at sharing with Blain and loves to make pyramids, boats, tower houses and airplanes for her lego guy guy.

Blain has taken two steps but has been a little camera shy while doing it. He stands really well but mostly tries to belly flop reaching out to us rather than moving his little feet.
Chloe is talking like a pro and even says some words in spanish. She counts to ten, says her colors, Arriba, abajo, abre, despacio and rapido to name a few. I am so proud of how much she learns every day. She always says please "mommy please popcicle please", and "Thanks, thank you mommy!" What a joy it is to have such sweet babies in our life.
We took a short little hike to Battle Creek Falls again this year and this time Chloe hiked her way there. It even turned into a sort of Dora adventure.

 We went past the cave
 Over the Troll bridge

And thats how we got to the waterfall!

The garden is doing pretty good. The raised bed is looking green and beautiful and we've had fresh lettuce on our hamburgers and sandwhiches. The corn is about ready to be thinned and after a second planting of peas to fill in the gaps we are expecting a good pea harvest as well. All 6 of our hills have at least 4 sprouts, the pumpkins are doing especially well. I also just ordered some soy bean seeds that mature in just 65 days so I'm hoping those work out as well.

The chickens enjoying a watermelon rind snack. They are so fun to watch peck around the yard. 2 more months til eggs!!
