Spring is Coming!!

Since it's been about an eternity since I've put anything up I'll do a couple highlights of what's been going on:

1. This is just a super cute picture of Blain on Chloe's birthday. He is so happy and smiley. He is learning to crawl - just about there - and loves playing with Chloe. They are so sweet together and are happeiest when they are both awake and playing together.
2. Warm weather means lots of playing outside. Chloe and I go outside in the yard everyday while Blain takes his morning nap so he can get some good sleep.

"cave" as she calls it.

My Birthday! I turned 25 this year. We had a nice little birthday celebration with family after getting home from snowboarding!

Chloe turns 2! I can't believe my little baby is 2 years old already. She got lots of fun things for her birthday including this flap up book from mommy and daddy and a dress from Hawaii from Auntie Shum and Uncle Q.

Chloe blew out her candles at least 10 times. Abe and Molly both made cakes so we had a double doese of birthday goodness!

Cutting the cake with Daddy using the special birthday knife.

Happy Valentines's Day! We all had some chocolate valentines for the day (I "helped" Blain eat his b'c he's not quite ready for chocolate) Nate and I went out on the 16th to a really yummy Peruvian restaurant on center street because he had to stay late at school for an awards banquet - his wrestling team won state this year!

I can't wait for him to be done, only a month left and then he will graduate with his masters degree in Educational Leadership with an administrative license. He's put in some applications for local jobs because we plan on staying in our house for one more year to stay our 3 years and not have to pay back the gov. If the right job comes along we might consider moving, hopefully to a place where we can settle down for the long haul, start our little farm and keep living our happy lives!Happy Valentine's Day

We have had some cold days too. We still get all bundled up and head outdoors if we can.

Chloe loves taking the rocks from the side of the house and putting them on the steps. She's so cute doing it I don't mind cleaning up the mess afterwards.

The one and only snowman this year. We barely go enough snow to make one, and he melted the very next day so good thing we made it out that day.

I planted a bunch of daffodil bulbs last winter and they came up!! I was afraid for them because it snowed last night but they seem to be doing ok. This gets me excited for the garden!

Fun at the park. Chloe can now go up most of the ladders by herself.
We got Chicks!! I've been wanting chicks for a couple years now and finally decided to take the plunge. We now have 5 little chicks living under our table in an old rubbermaid bin. We named them Ahri (americauna) Specs (speckled sussex) Wizz (leghorn) Goldie/treasure/GG (gold star) and Lacey (silver laced wyandotte). I love watching them and holding them - despite getting pooped on twice today :( and Chloe thinks they are tons of fun.

This is us holding specs
