Blain is now 2 weeks old! I can't believe how much I love him already. The labor, delivery and recovery process was SO much easier than with Chloe I almost don't believe it. I went in to the hospital on June 28th at 7:30. I was already having pretty regular contractions at about 5 minutes apart and turns out I was dilated to a 4 so the induction just sped things up a bit! I got started on pitocin at 9:45 and Blain was born at 1:50, so about 4 hours of hard labor and then we had our sweet baby boy! The only complication was the epidural, the first one he put in ended up in a blood vessel and didn't quite make the pain go away, so he came back in and placed another one which worked perfectly. It was so nice having Blain in our room with us. We only stayed until about 3 the next day and then we were home and trying to get back into the swing onf things. Mamma stayed for a week and helped so much with Chloe, food, housework and basically anything else we asked for. It was a lifesaver having her stay with us. Nate has been able to be home most of the day so I am beyond lucky to have his help. We are loving our new little boy and Chloe does too! She gives him kisses and is super sweet. Sometimes she's a little too helpful when she rocks him fast and hard in his swing and bouncy chair, but overall she's adjusting well.
Congratulations! He's a cutie. I'm so happy for you guys!!
