End of Summer and 10 year anniversary!!

Yikes I can't believe it's been over a month since I posted! There has been so much going on I'm not sure where to start!

Cascade Springs: Way back in July I had a failed meet up with Wendy and Em for a day of hiking. They ended up going to Sundance and we went up to Cascade springs. It was beautiful and we spent about 45 minutes doing the 3 loops, crossing the bridges and looking at the water.
Silly Babies
For the first couple pictures they would all crouch down and LAUGH!!
Playing on that awesome tree!
Zeyta cute as can be crossing over a bridge
Holding hands on the way out!
Just missing Daddy!

Day with the Cox Family: I'm always amazed at how much Wendy knows about all the things to do wherever she goes. She knew about a free merry go round in Midway! I've been living here for 4 years and didn't know about it!
Cute girls waiting for the ride to turn on
Daddy buckling Zeyta onto her horse
Love these 2!

The Farm: We are bouncing back from all the farm losses this year but I hate to admit we were pretty down about it. We listed Bella for sale thinking we couldn't afford to keep a dry cow over the winter, but buying our neighbor's hay this year saved us quite a bit so we are keeping her especially since she is finally pregnant (Due in feb/march).
Because Nate was out all last summer he has been working double time to try and get caught up on all his projects (fencing, roofing, drip irrigation, dividing pastures). All those projects add up and have quite the "sticker shock" whcn I see how much they cumulatively cost. But having the pasture divided has given us so much more grass it's crazy! We haven't even let them into the biggest section yet and the growing season is way over halfway gone!
We moved mamma hen and her 2 hatchlings into the old sideofthe coop. We did it at night and she was NOT happy. She went all crazy flying at Nate's face and puffing herself up as big as I've ever seen her, even though her tail feathers are almost all gone for some weird reason. But she is showing them the ropes nicely and it's a big improvement not having to fill up their little trough with food every night because she and the chicks would scratch it everywhere!
Listing picture for Bella. We now have a new dilemma. Our neighbor offered us a reallygood deal on a "rocky mountain walking horse" which is the kind of horse Nate really wanted but figured he would never get because they are usually thousands of dollars. They have offered us a "trial" period if we want so we are trying to figure out our finances to see if it is even an option right now. That and we are looking at a mini jersey right in walsburg that we would love to get. We went from trying to sell off our big animals to potentially acquiring 2 more! We truly are addicted.
Blain had the month of August off of Gymnastics but he's been flipping and rolling and swinging nonstop the whole month! We got a pair of rings and hung them on a tree branch for him and the girls to play on. I've also been spotting him to do back handsprings on the trampoline which has been fun. His handstands are getting longer and longer, and he finally landed his front tuck and front handspring on the trampoline which he has been trying to do for a while now.
Cute upside down boy!
Jumping bean!

10 Years Anniversary!! We happily celebrated 10 wonderful years of marriage with our much anticipated cruise to Alaska! It was so much fun and so great to spend so much time with the love of my life.
Sea Fishing in Ketchikan!
Me and Momma on the girl side of the boat ;)
I cought my first 2 fish - a rock fish and a pink salmon!!
The group with our haul! They took us to this really cool beach camp where they cooked our fish in a yummy bouillabaisse and blueberry rhubarb dessert!
Formal Night!
Embarkation
Food! I literally gained 10 pounds from eating so much yummy food! Whether in the dining room, buffet line, or pizza bar there were so many good options! Nate got a drink package this time and it was 60 dollars well spent! He had a pina colada (or 2 or 3) with almost every meal. Not to mention rootbeer, smoothies, sprite and more pina coladas! We started calling his ship card with the drink sticker his pina colada because he had to show it every time he ordered one!! We will for sure buy another drink package on our next cruise.
We made a lot of stops on our way up to the Yukon via Skagway for our dog sledding adventure. This was a lake with glacier runoff which you can tell by the bright blue color as they meet.
Dog sled ride, sort of ;)
Lumberjack show! Nate and Chris both went up on stage to try their hands at axe throwing like a lumberjack! It was fun to watch and they both had a good time.
Formal night! Notice Nate's matching tie?!? I found that at a thrift store and it matched my dress perfectly!! Super happy about our matchingness;)
Cruising Tracy Arms Fjord on Momma and Chris' balcony!
Getting the good seats by the window in the dining room was always a bonus when it worked out!
We also went whale watching in Juneau and walked around Victoria, Canada for our port stops. Nate and I got massages on our anniversary as well as tons of onboard activities (dancing, singing, movies, wildlife info) during our days at sea. It was an unforgettable vacation and having Mamma and Chris there made it so fun and extra memorable!!
