Happy Valentine's Day!

Love is in the air: So I tried to get some cute pictures of the babies on Valentines day, it's hard when my camera battery is low and the camera takes about 30 seconds to take a picture. But here is what I got. We had a fun time making valentines and going to Em and Ted's to spend the night after a dinner put on by Em's ward. Babysitting was provided and we had a lovely 3 course meal. Afterwards we went to a late movie (Ender's Game) and Sam stayed home with all 4 kiddos. He was so nice to let Chloe stay up and watch movies too. She now thinks whenever we stay the night at Em's she gets to stay up all night and eat popcorn, watch movies and eat treats. Sam said she was up until about 15 minutes before we got home at midnight. Chloe loves her fun aunts and uncles.

 Blain is so photogenic
Chloe picked out her own valentine's outfit and put it on all by herself
Chloe and Blain loved gluing on hearts to make valentines for Em, Ted, Marie and Uncle Sammy

Warmer Weather: It's been in the upper 30's and some 40's this past week and we've been playing outside every day. I move the pilot out of the driveway and they have fun races on their scooters and tricycles.

It must be love! We are both getting so excited for spring. The melting snow is making us even more anxious to start working on our homestead. Nate has been looking at buying an auger (motorized hole digger) and I've been working out the details in brooding our layers and broilers. We also may have a surprise farm addition tomorrow if all goes according to plan... 1 more week til our chicks arrive!!

  2. Brooding is basically just keeping the chicks alive when they are babies (heat lamp, food, water, etc.) Broilers are the chickens we got for meat (they grow faster and are bigger). Yes they came and are super cute!
