And that little grabby hand is why Avenlea isn't allowed to hold the chicks anymore, but she loves looking at them run around in the brooder

Chick names so far: Turquois, Pumpkin, Star, Vlight, Vayne, Diamond, Rainbow, Geo, Nick nack, Zoomie, Baby Mamma, fruit snack, and they want to name one of the Roosters Magnum but we are unsure which yellow chick will be the rooster so we're holding off. We ended up with 27 chicks because of the free rare chick and they gave us an extra free buff orpington rooster. Lots of fun. I guess this is what you get when you let a 2 and 3 year old name the chicks!
"We don't name the yellow ones because they're for meat" - I was telling Chloe how most of the yellow ones will be just meat chickens, so that's what she would say whenever she held a yellow one.

Me and Vlight- maybe a cuckoo maran?
Nick nack - so cute but real flighty. I think this might be our Ancona
Brooder set up - we found this big wooden box in the shed, the chick lights in the garage and Nate made the waterer from a free frosting bucket from wal mart. We ordered the water nipples off Amazon and they are working great so far!
