Shamene and Quentin's open house was on August 1st. We did lots of decorating and the house looked amazing. We had family and friends from the ward come. Shamene and Quentin are so cute together!
On August 9th, Nate and I took a little drive down to the redwoods about an hour and a half away from Oakland. We walked on a loop that had tons of giant redwoods! We saw a deer and climbed on fallen trees. It was so nice to spend the day together and get away from the city.

Look how big this tree is!Another fun part of August was my graduation!! I know I don't really graduate until December but I walked with most of my nursing class on the 14th. Mom and Dad both came from California and we were able to go out to dinner and spend some time together! Hooray for being almost officially graduated. Only one more semester to go!
Nate and I celebrated our 2 years anniversary on August 11th. We bought a new bedspread and some amazingly soft sheets because it is our "cotton" anniversary according to mom. We went out to lunch at the Elephant Bar and then quickly packed up the car and drove for 9 hours to Nate's mom's house, half way from Oakland to Provo. The good thing was stopping for In'n'out for one last time before heading out of Cali.
